We are The Lost Sherpherds
The Lost Shepherd is a new upcoming Dutch electronic dance duo consisting of Björn van den Biggelaar (Xaverius Funk) and Paul Cattenstart (Paul Martin). The DNA of their dance music is: High Energy, Soul, Belief, Escapism and Euforia. Those elements always come back in the music they produce and play.
Paul and Björn both grew up in the same village in the south of the Netherlands. In the mid 90’s Paul already had his own music production studio in the back of his parents’ garage. Here he had the classical technics SL1200 turntables, Akai sampler, several synthesizers and outboard gear, everything connected to an analog 48 channel mixing console. During those days Bjorn dropped by and directly got infected with the endless love of playing and producing dance music. Later on, Bjorn followed the rock academy and started his own musical career. He had many releases on several labels and he also produced a multi- platinum track that hit the charts in many countries around the globe. At the end of 2020 the duo decided to collaborate again. The Lost Shepherds were born!
Technology & Values
They grew up in an era where the landscape of technology was completely different. There were no mobile phones and people were way closer
towards each other. Mutual respect, freedom and passion were more naturally then nowadays. With their performances and music they try to bring back those values that made them who they are today. All their music is produced in their own music production studios.

In the dark times of the pandemic, many people are lost. And so were we. We reconnected a while ago to get back on track by making music that touches heart & soul. We firmly believe in a cross-genre approach and are keen in creating music from a mood perspective. you can listen our tracks during sunset hours or experience them at the dance floor. There is always a certain pace and energy within our compositions that even give the easy listening tracks a certain signature. We will go above and beyond to produce the best of the best in the new mainstream. What you call it does not matter. We will take people with us on our new and extraordinary musical journey.

A shepherd is someone who is taking care or watching over a group of people. Every single person in our audience, or listening to our music will be one of those. We are blessed with certain skills and believe in sharing our passion and stories with audiences around the world. Our music can be meditative and at the same time euphoric with the collective power to send love and release.
